Handlebars
I had a fleeting experience of drop handlebars this evening when my own flats decided to tilt of their own accord, while crossing Holloway Road at Highbury Corner. It seems I twisted the grips to be even one too many times, resulting in having to deploy the bike’s emergency stop function, i.e. getting off in an awkward fashion just in time to avoid hitting some giggling bystanders. Good job I had my trusty tools, because cycling home with my brake levers pointing at the sky would have been just plain awkward.
